MINUTES OF IMCAT MEETING
HELD ON 01/11/04 AT 6 Carinya St, Blackmans Bay

Photographic Competition has now closed. A judging panel was chosen. Decision to be made as soon as possible. |

Grant has received no reply to email re permission to use article or mistakes from Australian Sailing |

Class Promotion . Daniel and Greg have done a poster advertising the DSS Sabot Helm day. Grant has distributed to Sabot Clubs. Grant to issue invitations as the Sabot team has now been chosen.
Greg is working on lettering for website address in sticky back on a couple of mainsails. Grant may have a font with outline only. John Behrens may be able to assist with red and green lettering on booms. (Greg has a quote of $7.50 each side)
Wooden Boat Festival. Greg liasing with Julie from Wooden Boat Festival. Event to be at 1030 hrs off Kings Pier. WBF personel will control water space.
John Penman’s boat not available as is not insured. Quentin’s boat or perhaps Norm Deane may be possibilities.
Jenny to check with RHR Assn to see where and what time we can rig up (rowing may be a problem) |

Rudder Presentation board for the club holding the MacIntyre Cup . Ken Barnes has donated a shield for said use. John Sherriff is getting it engraved. |

Jenny had contacted Vic Bateman re what IMCAT had been doing promotion wise and asked for his ideas re a National polo top with state variations. To be followed up further. |

Scouts promo not ideal due to surf on the beach. The scouts seemed to think it was OK. Would have been better if we could have ferried the children out in the rescue boats so they didn’t get so wet and cold. |

Toll photo presentation to be made at the Toll office and photo to be given to the Mercury. Grant to talk to Toll re transport of one boat to WA (Mark Barrington) and replacement of the stolen sin from KBSC. |

. Sailing Instructions to be posted on the website, available from club reps and available from 9am on the first day of racing. Andrew Roberts to talk to Neil Brown about a BBQ on the Saturday night. |

Still no cheque Book from MLC. John is writing cheques from Commonwealth A/c
General Business
Mark Barrington has been training Daniel and crew at KBSC on Saturday mornings.
Andrew Roberts has been training the Smith girls at MBYC
Thanks to both those people for their efforts.
The MacIntyre Cup was instigated as a promotional event. It was suggested we spend more money on spreading the trophies around more. John Behrens noted that we used to give all competitors something. John B. Volunteered to talk to Ross at Peter Johnstons re us purchasing some vouchers etc.
